I joined the school in the fist entry, in the real good old days. My name is Muhammed Arif Khan. My school number is 46. I moved from Fury to Attacker house with the formation of the new houses. I still remember the school days as the golden era. I passed out of Sargodha in 1958 and spent the next 2years or so at Government College Lahore, doing my FSc. In 1960 joined the Dow Medical College in Karachi, passing out just as the 1st Indo Pakistan war occurred. I left Pakistan to join the Merchant Navy as a Ship's Senior Surgeon in HongKong in 1966 and roamed most of the Far East. I had the best holiday of my life for two years, then I decided to move to the UK before I forgot all the Medicine I had learnt. I specialised in Paediatrics, but seeing how few consultant post were becoming available in Paediatrics in Britain at that time, I switched to General Practice with special interest in Paediatrics.

I am from third entry, settle in Dhaka, Bangladesh at present visiting my children in States (USA). I left Sargodha way back but you know that till today I have sweet dream of those wonderful days. If I had a wish I would like to be back to my days in Sargodha, I miss all my friends and well-wishers; my greetings to all. People would remember me since I was The Only Sarghodian who has a Natural Red Hair. Friends, I still have it, but slowly getting gray. I am self-employed and mostly travelling around the world, that's when I met my old buddy Bakhtair 161A and from friends we became relative: my son Salim married his daughter Noreen. Imagine we met after long 40 years.

Dear Sargodhain, we have left an excellent example for all of you to follow. Believe me nothing like a Sargodhain reunion.

It was a pleasure viewing Sargodhians web page. It was impressive and I could visualise the efforts that are put in. Great job! Well done and keep it up!

I am a fairly old Sargodhian, having joined PAF School in the 3rd Entry in October 1955. My number was 167 Fury. We had the good fortune of seeing the school develop in its infancy and I have always carried very happy memories of my stay there.

While at school, our first House Master was Mr. Gilbert. Later we had Mr. Power and then Mr. Ruck. I owe a lot to my Teachers from Sargodha, who were all a very dedicated and committed lot. Both I and my children are even today in regular touch with Mr. J. C. Buckman (House Master Tempest), our Geography Teacher, who lives in Sussex, England. While in England (1986-89) we were also in regular contact with Mr. A. B. Chightai, (so lovingly called ABC) and the late Mr. G. Stott, (our Vice Principal). An old man nearing 90, he would write to me regularly. Fortunately, I have some of his hand written letters, which show the closeness that our teachers shared with us.

After leaving school in 1958, I rejoined Burn Hall School, Abbottabad and did Senior Cambridge the following year. Later in 1965, I did my Masters in English from Peshawar University, sat for the CSS Examination in 1966 and was selected for and joined Police Service of Pakistan in 1967. After initial Police Training in Sardah (then in East Pakistan), I served in various assignments in Pakistan and abroad, until I was promoted to the rank of Inspector General of Police in 1993. I was I.G. Police Islamabad in 1996 and IGP Baluchistan in 1999/2000. These days, I am serving as Commandant,National Police Academy, Islamabad. I am however looking forward to my Retirement in a few months time.

I could not join PAF / Army on medical grounds. Joined PIA in 63 in the Airport services Dept. My postings route has been Lahore - Karachi - Islamabad - Jeddah - Islamabad - Singapore - Islamabad - New York.

I'll be completing my New York tenure by the end of 2000 & return to Islamabad. By working in PIA, me & my family have had the privilege & pleasure of residing & traveling worldwide.

I have 3 children. My eldest daughter Farhana is happily married and settled in New York & has 3 children which makes me a grandfather.

Next my son Khurram is doing Computer Science at the Stony Brook University in New York. He will Insha Allah graduate in may 2000. Youngest daughter Saadia has just done her graduation. Well, that's about all.

I am Pervez Iqbal (3rd Entry, 183-Attacker House). I was in the same entry and same house as Bakhtiar, who has been very active in keeping the old sargodhians alive. I joined the 33rd GDP course, in 1960, and sent to Cranwell UK in 1961. I graduated from there 3 years later. I joined 18 squadron in early 1965, saw Rann of kutch and the 1965 war flying F-86 Sabres. I was then transferred to 23 squadron which was one of the first MIG-19 Squadrons. In 1969 I was made ADC to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Rahim Khan. I saw the 1971 war from the office... I was relieved of my post as ADC in Jan. 1972, as I became inceasingly vocal to the Chief for the disgusting way the war had been conducted.

I was sent to 6 squadron where I flew the F-27( which recently crashed killing the Chief )and did some 30 hours on the C-130. They roped me in the infamous Badaber trials and wrongfully sent me out of the Air Force, in 1973.

I struggled quite a bit to establish myself in Civil Aviation... doing spray flying with Jaffer Bros in Sind... finally my luck broke! I was picked up by a Swiss Company Ciba Geigy,in 1975, to spray the cities of Mecca and Medina, Jeddah and Taif.

I joined corporate aviation in 1977, flying Learjets, HS-125,from Jeddah. Now I am just a bit over 60... still flying from Jeddah on B-737 and B-767 private jets. I moved to Canada in 1980, to Vancouver... where my family resides. Oh just for referance... I was one course senior to Abbas Khattak!!!

I was in sabre house, 3rd Entry (189S). I was in the school from 1955 to 1960. After leaving school, I went to college in Karachi and from there in 1962, I left for London for chartered accountancy. I remained in London till 1977 and then came to Kuwait and have been here ever since. I am looking after the financial affairs of a large private group by the name of MARAFIE and they are engaged in real estate, investments and trading activities.

I am married, have two children, a boy and a girl. My wife is a teacher in International school of Pakistan in Kuwait. Md my son is now working in california after having graduated from university of Texas in Austin, last year. My daughter is studying in York university in Canada. Alhamdolillah, life has been good and we all have to thank Allah all the time.

I am Anis Ur Rehman (117A). I was born in Karachi, Pakistan. I did my elementary school from Karachi. I joined P.A.F public school/college Sargodha, in 1953. I did my Senior Cambridge in 1958. I did not join Air Force. After leaving school in 1958, I did Intermediate and then M.B.B.S. from Karachi. I was appointed as a medical officer in L.M.C Karachi. Later on I got the post of Registrar in the chest dept. After working for two years as a Registrar, I got a job in P.M. Military hospital in Saudi Arabia. I am here for the last 20 years now, working in the ER dept.

I am married and have by the grace of ALLAH, six children, all studying in Karachi, three of my daughters are in medical college, (two in dentistry and one is doing M.B.B.S.). My son is in Matric. He is studying in Karachi Cantonment.

Yes! I am a Sargodhian. I was there from 1955 to 1959 (3rd entry), Saber House, 204. I joined the army a bit late and was commissioned in Infantry (8 FF Regiment) in 1966. Served all over the country, including East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). Got married in 1975 and have two sons, Armughan (21), Furqan (17) and a daughter Ghizlan (14). Retired in 1987as a Col. and at present I am running a security company. I also deal in Real Estate, mainly defence Lahore/Karachi.

I am Iqbal Unus. My school number was 218 and I am from 3rd Entry, Fury House. Though, I stayed in Tempest House for a short time in the beginning probably because Fury House was being built or being renovated. (Let's see if someone remembers what could be the reason.) I was in Sargodha from 1956 to 1962. I was the Head Prefect of Fury House and also the Head Boy of the School. I was also the editor of the School's newsletter. I was in the first batch that went beyond Cambridge "A" Level to doing F.Sc. 2nd year.

I am 295 Tempest from the 5th entry. I was in the school from August 1956 to January 1960. As I look back down the memory lane, I feel that the most wonderful period of my life was the period that I spent in this great institution.
I had joined the PAF Academy in 1960 and was commissioned in June 1963. Served in No 18, 5 and 23 Squadrons. Three years tenure in the Academy as a QFI.
I was the Chief of Air Staff BAF from 1987 to 1991.
I have a son and a daughter, both living in Canada and have four lovely grandchildren.

I joined PAF Public School in 1956 in the 4th Entry. I was 243, in the Fury House. My elder brother Jamil Ahmed, 195-F was from 3rd Entry. Unfortunately, he died of renal failure two years back.

I joined the Pakistan Air Force and was commissioned in 1964 in 37th G. D(P). I was flying transport aircraft in the PAF. Apart from postings in the PAF, I also served as DG Logistics in Joint Staff Headquarters and my final posting before retirement was as Chief Instructor at the National Defence College, Islamabad. I retired in 1996 and became Managing Director, Shaheen Foundation. I completed my contract at the Foundation in 1999 and have been living happily thereafter.

I have three children, all boys. The eldest is a young fighter pilot presently at Sargodha. The second son is an Electronic Engineer, currently at Cornell University doing his Masters. The third one is studying in Islamabad and is in 3rd Semester of BCS.

I would be happy to team up with some overseas Sargodhian to look after the Pakistani end in a mutually beneficial commercial venture, possibly related to Software development or transcription work etc.

After leaving Sargodha, I completed my education at the Punjab University with Honours in Bachelor of Commerce. Took training in Metal Casting and started a small business enterprise, Rastgar Engineering Co.

I have always felt indebted to Pakistan for the education given to me at Sargodha at virtually zero cost to my Father, who would not have been able to afford it in case the actual fees/costs had been charged. This was the main reason I decided not to leave Pakistan and contribute to its economy and prosperity in whatever small way I could by staying on this soil and paying its taxes and contributing to its GNP.

I am Shahid Aziz Siddiqi, 358A, Attacker House, 7th Entry. After my "O" levels from the School,I did my "A" levels from KGS, Karachi. I went to F.C. College, Lahore and did my BA in 1965 and was third in the Punjab University. I was also the Secretary of the Students Union. I did my MA from KU topping in General History in 1967. I was selected to the CSP in 1968 through the CSS examination, topping in the country. During my 32 years career in the Civil Service, I have held various posts like D.C.,Thatta, Sanghar and Larkana and Commissioer, Karachi Division. I have also been D.G. Hajj,Jeddah, DG Ports and Shipping and Chairman, National Highway Authority. I retired in 2000. After retirement, I have been the Executive Director, Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, a not for profit degree awarding institution in Karachi. After a three year tenure, I am now moving to Ziauddin Medical University, Karachi, as Vice Chancellor.

I am married. My wife and I have four children. I am a lazy bones and generally like to read and listen to music. I played cricket and competed in Athletics in School competently and was drafted into other games with often disasterous results to the satisfaction of my close friends. Having said that, I was quite a good debater. This was very useful in the detention periods, when I was encouraged to bore the life out of the teacher on duty by my fellew sufferers by repeated references to "injustice" in the School. This stood me in good stead later when I competed with ex-Senater Javed Jabbar and now Speaker of Sind assembly, Syed Muzzafar Hussain Shah at the Karachi University. While I have called it a day, my two friends continue to bore the nation. Helloo are you asleep?

This is Nayyar Iqbal Khowaja. School number 386. 7th Entry. Sabre House. I left Sargodha after doing my Matric in 1962. I completed my F.Sc. from Government College, Lahore and went on to do my M. Sc. in Chemical Technology from Punjab University, Lahore. Thereafter I did my Post GraduateDiploma and Ph.D. in Metallurgy from Imperial College, London.

After completing my education, I joined Pakistan Steel Mills Corporation, Karachi in 1974. Currently I am serving as General Manager (Quality Assurance Department).

My name is Shahid Kamal Khan (426-S). I am from 9th Entry, joined the PAF, flew fighters, retired August, 1998, as an Air Commodore. I was born in Abbotabad, Pakistan. I did my initial schooling in Quetta, (St. Francis Grammar School) and then joined PAF School Sargodha in 1959. (426-S). Passed my Senior Cambridge in the First Division (two distinctions, I think (stood second in the school) and then joined the PAF in 42 GD(P) entry.

I was selected for training at the Royal Air Force College in Cranwell, England. Returned to Pakistan in 1968 as a Flying Officer and continued to fly fighters in the PAF at various locations but the bulk of my service was spent in Sargodha. The PAF life was quite varied and exciting. I did a number of exciting jobs both on the ground and in the air. I am an A1 instructor category holder from the Central Flying School of the Royal Air Force and a graduate of the Royal Air Force Staff College, Bracknell. I have studied for a while at the University of Southern California, flew F16s when they came to Pakistan, commanded an F16 Squadron, a Wing and a Base.

I retired as an Air Commodore after 32 years of Service in August, 1998. In September, 1994, I was sent as Managing Director of Shaheen Air International, the PAF sponsored Airline.

On retiring, I have entered into business on my own; being a computer buff, I am into software development and other related activities. I am looking for any enterprising venture that requires a sharp mind and a dedicated work ethic.

I am married with two sons, the elder having done his BBA (MIS) and the younger, his BBA in Business Law and Finance from Washington University at St. Louis.

After an unsuccessful career in the Air Force, I came to New York in 1970 and have lived here ever since. I have been in the telecommunications field since 1974 and have worked/learned my way through the likes of ITT, AT&T, Verizon, Northern Telecom, ROLM and so on. I got married rather late, at the ripe age of 40, and have two sons 10 and 12. Believe me, they keep me young.

I'm sure I'm not alone in experiencing the thrill and boyish excitement at discovering this wonderful wonderful link with the past. I left Sargodha in Dec, 1965, the year of the Indo-Pak war, the year of my Cambridge exams, the year when we spent some of the most memorable days in my life during our brief sojourn in the beautiful Murree hills when we were evacuated from the battle front of Sargodha Air base to the relative safety of Lower Topa Public School.

Since then, Sargodha lived on as it still lives on in our dreams and nostalgic memories. Thanks to this website, I was momentarily transported to a beautiful place 32 years in the past. My greetings to all Sargodhians wherever they may be.

I am Tariq Ali Khan and I studied at Sargodha from 1962 to 1967. My school number was 612 and I was from 13th entry. I was from Fury which during my stay won the Chigwell Shield four times in a row. I was in most of my house teams and became a College Prefect in my final year. On my leaving school I was declared medically unfit to become a pilot.

I joined the Army in 1968 and was commissioned in the Armoured Corps. I am now serving as Logistics Area Commander at Karachi where I hope to settle and find a job after retirement. I have three sons Taimur, Nadir and Sikander. Taimur is doing his BBA Honours from IBA, Nadir and Sikander go to St Patrick's School. My father was in the PAF, Wg Cdr Mirza Haider Raza and later on in the PIA. He was transferred to the UK in 1964 and he decided to live in the UK. After I finished my stint in Sargodha at the end of 1967, I came to the UK to join my family in early 1968.

I was in Saber/Rafique house and I was the Head Boy in 1967. It was ironic, when I joined the school in 1963, our house won the Chigwell Shield and when I left in 1967, we won the Chigwell Shield again.

Basically, I was in all my house teams other than Gymnastics. For the school, I was in the cricket, basketball and hockey teams. I won school colors for cricket and basketball. I remained number 1 table tennis player for all the four years I was there.

So much of my stint at the school. Since the school I have gone downhill. Only kidding!!!!

I couldn't join the Air Force because I was found to be colour-blind in my final year at Sargodha, so if I couldn't have the most exciting career in the world, I would try the most boring! So I joined Gordon College in Rawalpindi and completed a degree in Economics. Then joined the IBA at Karachi University, for a brief time before coming to London to train as an accountant. I met my wife here and now am the managing partner of the firm I first trained with. It is definitely not boring!!!

I am Husamuddin Ahmadzai (743 A, 15th Entry). After Sargodha, I went to FC College and the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Punjab University, Lahore. Therefater, I did my Masters in Metallurgy from the University of New South Wales, Sydney and obtained my Doctorate in Metallurgy from Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Currently I am Principal Executive Officer at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and Special Adviser to the Nordic Finance Group (including Nordic Investment Bank and the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation).

Life nowadays involves a lot of travelling and flying around the globe but much was ingrained in the greenfields of the School and Attacker House under Mr. Fasihuddin's watchful eyes. It would be nice to hear from old fellows.

I am from the 16th entry but was at Sargodha from 1965 to 1970 only because of a double promotion in 1967 when the system was changed from Cambridge to Matriculation. So we completed (15 of us) with the 15th entry. We were also later joined by the U entry from Lower Topa.

Now I work for the International Finance Corporation (The World Bank's private sector arm) and cover the Central Asian Republics from Islamabad, where I am now based. I am pretty regular in attending the Sargodhian get-togethers at the PAF Golf Club but owing to my extensive travel schedule I also miss quite a few. I am in regular and constant touch with Anas Bhai who I consider responsible for keeping all us Sargodhians together.

I am Pervaiz Ali Khan, 16th Entry, number 785 Fury/ Iqbal house. I was in Sargodha School from 1965 to 1970.

Alhamdo lil Allah, I have had a very successful and satisfied life and I attribute that, in great proportion, to PAF Public School Sargodha. Blessed with a lovely family, a wife and 4 kids. 2 Daughters and 2 sons. Eldest daughter is married and settled in Karachi. Rest 3 are with us. 2 Sons are studying in university and the youngest daughter is about to finish her high school.

Joined PAF in 1970. Had the honour of having ACM Mushaf Ali Mir (Shaheed) as my Instructor in the Academy. Flew fighters and served my instructional tenure. Left PAF in 1981 after the death of my elder brother.

Worked in the civil sector and dabbled in business for almost 4 years. Realized that my true passion and profession was flying. Luckily at the same time received an offer from UAE Air Force to join as an Instructor Pilot for Basic and Advanced training. Had a wonderful time there.

In 2001 immigrated to Canada. Initially worked for an Asset Management Company and now have set up a Management Consultancy and Trading companies in partnership (Oil and Gas Industry, Energy sector, Real Estate particularly Industrial, Commercial and Investments and trade in a variety of products).

I am Shahid Nisar Khan and I joined PAF Public School, Sargodha in Sep'65 in the 16th entry (787/S). I was in Sabre house, the name of which was changed to Rafiqui House when the Public School became PAF College. I joined the PAF as a fighter pilot in 1971 and graduated in 1973. Here is my brief life history since 1967. I am originally from Tangail in Bangladesh but I spent all my life in Pakistan (until 1973) since my father served in the Air Force. I started my schooling in Cantonment Public school Sargodha. In early 1967, our family moved to PAF Base Masroor in Karachi where I enrolled in PAF Model School. The same year, I applied for admission to PAF College Sargodha and was enormously proud to get selected for the 17-th entry. I arrived at Sargodha - on September 9 and was met by Mr. Qadeer Beg who was the housemaster of Rafiqui house at that time.

In 1970, I matriculated with High distinction. The next 2 years turned out to be the most eventful not only for me but for the 130 million people of Pakistan. In September 1971, just a few days after the reopening of the Fall semester, all East Pakistani students were sent back home. They were expected to rejoin when the situation improved. Little did we know that in just a few months time, we would be facing a very different world.

In June 1972, we took our F.Sc exams and once again I did very well. However, in Fall of 72 all Bangladeshi families from different military cantonments were taken to various camps termed innocuously as "Repatriation Camps". Life was far from fun in Chashma (District Mianwali) where we ended up and when finally on December 13, 1973 our family flew back to Bangladesh aboard a chartered Jordanian jet, we were glad to close that chapter of our lives.

Back in BD, I had hoped to join the Air force but was asked to wait for the next intake. Meanwhile, I applied for a Russian scholarship, got selected and finally in July 1974 ended up in Moscow. I studied Petroleum Geology and earned my Masters degree in 1980, after which I continued to work as a Research Associate till 1985. On returning to Bangladesh, I worked as a Hydrogeologist for a Dutch company in Dhaka. In 1989, I came to the States to study for my Ph.D. However, before I could complete my dissertation I got a job with an oil company. I still harbor some hopes of completing my doctorate, but it appears to be an uphill task at this stage.

I am married and I have two sons - Misha (7) and Mridul (5). Both were born in OKlahoma.

I joined PAF College Sargodha as part of the 17th Entry. I was Cadet # 867,under Sabre (Rafiqui) House. Our Entry joined just as Mr Catchpole was leaving (my dad, who later retired as a Major-general, had been his student in Dehra Dun!). Mr Rahman Quraishi was the new Principal and Mr Noor Mohammad Khan our Housemaster. It was also the time that the PAF College in Lower Topa closed down and we were joined by a large group of Topians too.

I had a couple of relatives who were in Sargodha befor me, my cousin Rashid Ahmed (13th Entry- Sabre), and nephew Mahbub ul Haq (14th Entry- Tempest).

I have many happy memories of those golden years in Sargodha Among my closest friends in Sargodha were Qamar Suleman (R), Shujie Hashmi (M), Inamul Haq (R), Rezaul Kareem (R), Inamullah from Tibet (M), Munir Ahmed (R), Tahir Khakwani (M), Riaz Ahmed (R), Ikramullah (I) and so many others whose names I could mention.

I left Pakistan and lived in Belgium for a short while. After that I moved to Sweden in 1977, eventually becoming a Swedish citizen. In December 1993, I moved to the United States, where I presently reside in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. My family and I are dual citizens of both Sweden and the United States.

I am with a Missions Organization, and travel extensively, mostly to Europe, Africa, and South-east Asia.

My Swedish-born wife Britta and I have been happily married since November 1979. We have three children, Immanuel, Victoria, and Gabriel.

My name is Shaheen (884I), 18th Entry). After passing FSc from Sargodha in 1973, I decided to join Merchant Navy & did 2 years pre-sea training at Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi during the period 1974-1975. I managed to stand first in 5 subjects in the final exams. Thereafter, I joined Pan-Islamic Steamship Co & remained there until 1980. Afterwards I served with different Foreign Companies. I got my promotions in due course after passing required professional exams. I passed my exam as Master in 1988 and finally got command of a ship in January'1990 (that's when i may be called a Captain). I am still a serving Master Mariner.

I did my graduation in 1985 as a private student from Punjab University. I got married on March 24' 1980 n blessed with three kids (2 girls & 1 boy). My eldest daughter is doing her BCS honours from University of Engineering & Technology- Lahore. She is in her final year now. My no.2 daughter has done her BCS from Alkhair university n making future plans for higher studies at some other suitable institute. My youngest son is studying in 8th grade at Chand Bagh School.

I am Md. Mahbubul Alam, 958 Alauddin House (probably Starfighter now), 19th Entry ( 69-71 ). I was also extremely excited and happy to discover the Sargodhians web page. I was little disappointed as I could not see most of the names in the email directory. Initially I was so excited that I was spending a lot of time browsing the web page at the cost of important occupations. So, you can understand the feeling. It was long 33 years when we had to leave the school prematurely in 1971. The thought of not being able to go back to Sargodha tortured me fro three decades. But all these years I kept visiting the school, my house, my dormitory, class room, play ground and all, of course in my dreams. The web site helped release the burden of pain I was carrying deep within me.

I joined Bangladesh Army and was commissioned in Infantry in 1976. Got married in 1983 and have two daughters, Rehnuma (18), Reshma (6) and a son Shayer (17). I sought early retirement in the month of January this year (2005) as a Brigadier General and at present I am working for the UNDP in Bangladesh.

I am Sufi Ghulam Mujaddid from 20th Entry (1003-M) and 66th GD(P). We were commissioned on 19th Oct. 1978. I served in an F-6 Sqn till 1982. Then converted on Mirage. Served on this aircraft till Dec. 83. I was sent to Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad to take 2-years M.Sc Course in Defence and Strategic Studies till Dec. 85. Went to Saudi Arabia on deputation from July 86-July 89. Came back and served in No5 Sqn till late 91. Did Combat Commanders Course and remained instructor at Combat Commanders School till Aug. 94. Went on to command No5 Sqn till Apr. 96. I did PAF Air War Course in July 97, and served on its Faculty till July 2000. There after, I commanded Flying Wing at PAF Base Rafiqui for one year. Served as Dir. Ops. at AHQ, was promoted to Air Commodore in July 02 and am serving as ACAS (Personnel-Airmen/Civilians) since then. I was married on 16 July 83, have three daughters and two sons: Mushkbar, Midhat, Miral, Ali Adil, Sarmad. I love PAF College Sargodha and PAF. I am Irfan Elahi from 66th GD(P). I remained in the college from 1973 to 1977. We were the first batch who had joined the college as Flight Cadets. I remained in Rafiqui House, which was earlier known as Saber House. In my last term I was shifted to Minhas House. I was the College Hockey Captain and a colour holder in Hockey and Athletics.

I remained in Air Force till August 91, when I left and joined Civil Services. Presently, I am in DMG and working as Deputy Commissioner Sialkot. I have been the Deputy Commissioner, of Pishin, Chagai and Killa Saifullah (all in Balochistan Province). I have two sons and one daughter. The eldest being 14 years and the youngest daughter is 5 years now. Its really great fun to see the Sargodhians directory and in fact, I have established contact with few of my course mates. I am from 66th GDP from Younus House. Stayed in college from 1973-77. I am married, with four children. Left PAF in 1994 as Sqn Ldr. From 95 to 98 I served with UAE as flying instructor (3Yr). Came back to Pakistan in June 98. Seeing no job openings, I opted to resume studies in pursuance to adopt a new career line, (Management or Computers). I am now in the US in Management Information Systems in Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville (SIUE). This (I think) would supplement my MBA as well as my previous Mgt. experience of the PAF.

I am in touch with another Sargodhian (Mehmood in Haywards, CA), also a student, who is giving me guidance. He suggested me to submit my papers first for 'work permit' and then for admission. He also asked me to seek assistance of influential Sargodhians in the US in this regard (for Work permit etc).

Right now what I am interested in is to get myself a legal entry for job/Work permit, so that I can bring my family along. I shall Inshallah stay in touch and keep everyone posted.

Dear Fellow Sargodhians,

I am from 21st entry (Munir at the time) Attacker now. My housemaster was late Mr. Fasih-ud-Din. I joined in 1971 and graduated in 1978. I commissioned in 1979 and left PAF in 1982. I came to U.S. in 1982 and went back to school.

I attended a Reunion on Feb. 21st 1998 at the College. I felt like I belonged there, as if I was back after summer vacations. I did not feel strange or dumb doing things with the youngster. They were very comfortable with me and acted like typical juniors still trying to emulate their seniors and look up to them. It was wonderful and irresistible as ever to see those big football and hockey grounds.

I spent the whole weekend playing football (my favorite) hockey basketball flying kites. I could still impress them with some of my old bold moves. I did pay a little price for that.

I paid homage to THE parade ground where I did anything (you know what I mean) but parade. I also checked out all the routes for the FRENCH, if they were intact (as if I will need them in near future). I of course did not share that info with the young ones. I don't think they do things like that.

It's an experience you don't want to miss. I never thought it would be so. I think I will cut it here and let you experience first hand.

Hopefully, as the time passes these reunions can be better advertised and we can have larger gatherings. It will be even more fun. I am hooked.

I was in 21st Entry. I left in 1974 and went to Lawrence College Ghora Gali. After FSC, I joined Pakistan Marine Academy in 1977. I graduated from Pakistan Marine Academy with Chief Of Naval Staff's Silver Medal. That was third year in a row that a Sargodhian won that medal. I sailed for seven years while worked for the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation. In 1985, I came to US and luckily got scholarship from Ohio University. I completed my double Masters Degrees: Master in International Studies and Masters in Public Administration with Public maor in Public Policy and Finance. After graduating in 1989, I started working for the State of Ohio, Department of Development, Technology Division. I managed State of Ohio's Technology Programs aimed at creating and growing technology companies in Ohio for 12 years. July 2001, I resigned from the State of Ohio and in partnership with my brother inlaw opened a Furniture Gallery in Ohio. Unfortunatley, because of September 11, we had to face some challenges. In January 2003, I moved my family and business to Sacramento California. Right now, I am in Sacramento managing my funiture gallery. The response is much better here. We are bringing handcrafted rosewood furniture from Pakistan.

My number was D-6. There were 9 day scholars who studied in PAF College Sargodha in 19, 20,21 and 22nd Entries. I was there from 1971-1974.

I am from the 21st Entry (Rafiqi House # 1078). It was a pleasant surprise to find the Sargodhians homepage, when Dr. Iqbal Unus told me about it today. I recognized several names including Ali Mohammad Khan, Sohail Shafi, Muazzam, Zia Wahid, Raza ul Kareem bhai (my older brothers' entry fellow).

After leaving PAF College, I went on to get a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. In 1984 I came to the US and got a Masters' degree from University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1986. For the next six years, I worked in the construction industry in New York and New Jersey. Somewhere along the line, I slowly switched tracks and ended up in Information Systems doing system integration, system architecture, client-server systems and 2/3-tiered systems develoment work.

I have two sons (14 and 2) and one daughter (11). We live in Plainfield, a small suburb of Indianapolis, Indiana. I coach competitive soccer teams in my spare time.

My name is Mohammed Ahmed Athar and I was in the 69th GD(P). After leaving PAF from the Academy in 80' I kicked off my civilian career in Banking Industry in the year 82' with BCCI and stayed with this Bank till Oct. 88' to join another multinational British Bank called Standard Chartered Bank. It was Standard Chartered Bank which pushed me to existing location i.e. Dubai in Aug 91'.

I worked for in this Bank till mid 96'and worked in various senior management positions. Finally, in July 96, I launched myself in business and since than with the Blessing of Allah Almighty I have been surviving the ups and downs of the real world called business. I am in trading activities mainly trading in consumer electronics and some foodstuff items sourcing them from Japan and Europe and re-exporting them to Pakistan, CIS countries, Russia, India and some of the African countries.

I am married, have two children, a daughter(11yrs) and a son (3 yrs ). All of us live in Dubai, UAE and visit various locations during vacations. However, this time around we have so far no plans to take a vacation due to pressing business needs.

My name is Sabir Mumtaz Qureshi, commonly known in my GD as “Daddy”, named by the than Under Officer of Iqbal Squadron Ehthesham Zaib Raja.
I am from 71st GD(P). After quitting from PAF College Sargodha in 1976, I did my Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) with double Maths from University of Karachi. Than I got admitted to University of Engineering and Tech Lahore in the Civil Engineering where I graduated in 1985. Since than I have been in various trading businesses under my own operations (Engineering Allied Services (EAS), which includes the Representations of various Multi-national companies in Pakistan, Ship-Breaking at Gadani. The most prestigious project done by me was the OSP (Outside Plant for Alcatel – Pakistan) for PTCL for the city of Karachi – Hyderabad and Quetta. Than I winded my operations out of Pakistan in 1991 and moved to UK due to the worst conditions of city Karachi!!!!. I was assigned a job as Director Operations by one Dubai Based company for their Cotton Disposable products for the European market, which I performed very effectively till the year ending in 1995, and than finally ended up in UAE, serving various trading companies, which includes Lootha Group of Companies as the Group Commercial Manager and served with them for their United Nations IRAQI “OIL FOR FOOD PROGRAMM”. Through these new responsibilities , I got a good vision and made great int’l contacts with the “Big Boys” in the trading sector.
Left Lootha Group in 2000 and went into the Telecom Sector and started a Telecom Company in the Private Sector for my Arab Bosses at Dubai Internet City (DIC) as the brain child / General Manager for “SOFTEL”, and by the grace and help of Allah Almighty , I took this new Telecom company to a remarkable level in just 4 years and got the Network spread in IRAQ – GERMANY – TURKEY and PAKISTAN and having the core network at InterXion, Frankfurt-Germany. I feel great accepting that, “I am proud of my Young Pakistani Team of Engineers”. I quit SOFTEL as its Chief Operating Officer / Member of their Board of Directors of Int’l operations as of 1st Oct, 2005 and have gone into my own solo operation under the new name “ SOFTCOMMS” again a telecom company, having its head office at UAE and branch offices in Colombo – Bahrain and Germany. I shall very soon be awarded a Unified Telecom License in Sri Lanka by its Telecom Ministry, which includes the GSM operator’s license too.
By the grace of Allah I am happily married since 1991 and have been blessed with two handsome Sons “Mohammad Mustafa, 13 years old and Mohammad Awais, 9 years old and I must accept that all the academic achievement of my sons are due to the hard efforts of my beloved wife, “Rabeha”, as I hardly get time for the kids and family due to my second wife, “TELECOM”.

My name is Abid Mustafa; I am from 76th GD (P). I joined the Pakistan Air Force in 1978 and left in 1994. As I was proud to be an Air Force fighter pilot, I always missed my good and nice friends and respectable instructors those who made us what we are today in life. In 1982 after completing studies from the college, I received training as an Air Force pilot and flew Best Pilot Trophy, (which I still feel proud and happy about).

Then I went to different fighter Squadrons I was posted to PAF Academy, Risalpur as an instructor in No. 1 PFT. Squadron. I perform my duties as a Flight commander. My last posting was in Masroor, Karachi. In 1994 I left the community of brave/strong and loving people. Although, I am not in the Air Force any more, I am still very much in touch with some of the best pilots, of which our nation every produced of.

After leaving PAF, I joined one of the private airlines in Karachi and flow B-737 in Pakistan. Continental Airlines and Malaysian Airline as a commercial pilot for B -737 trained me, but in 1994 due to certain reason, I moved to USA and started a Business. I successfully managed different business in the USA for more then 5 years. In the mean time, I completed my ATPL from USA. (I already have a senior pilot license from Pakistan and ATPL From USA).

I am in Canada now and Citizen of Canada also, I started my career with American Express for US accounts /Enbridge Home services/Williams Coffee Pub/UHN.CA one of the Largest Hospital network in north America At this time I am working with Consulate General of Pakistan and Looking forward to go up as opportunity comes my way. I am ready to start my flying as soon as possible. I am in touch with some of the fine people trying to help all the Sargodhians in Canada.

Back to No. 11 OCU and got tired of the race and took retirement. Opened a small enterprise of Computers in Dubai and did my MCP, MCP+I, MCSE, MCSE+I and now working on my MCDBA. I am from 79th GD(P), Saffi squadron. Joined on October 25, 1980. Did my F.Sc. in 1982 and secured overall 1st position in Sargodha board and a gold medal. Did my B.Sc. in 1984 and earned a gold medal from Punjab University. Graduated from the academy on October 31, 1985. On the convocation ceremony, I received B.Sc. gold medal, best in Humanities trophy and best in Aero Sciences trophy. On graduation ceremony, I secured the Asghar Hussain ground subjects trophy, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff gold medal and the sword of honour.

Pretty strangely, I was the first sword of honour detailed for transporter conversion to go directly onto C-130s. Did my co-pilots and then captains course from transport conversion school in 86 and 88. Both times got the CAS trophy for being 1st. Did my FIS, the 1st position again. Stayed as Flt. Cdr. in BFT. Stayed in Sri Lanka for a year, teaching C-130s. Flew all the presidents and prime ministers of Pakistan since 1986. Presently, I am chief flying instructor at TCS. (A long self praise, I think).

Married and have a daughter aged 7 and a very naughty son aged 5.

I must appreciate the amount of hard work and the interest put in Sargodhians web site.

I left the Air Force in 1986 form Risalpur academy. I came to Canada/USA in 1987. Started flying here in the USA. Got my CPL multi IFR rating and instructor licenses as well. I taught flying PPL, CPL Instrument rating single and multi. I have almost 1800 hours of flying. Unfortunately, I had to move back to Canada. At that time Canada laid-off lots of pilots. I switched my field; started programming. Now I work for a company as a programmer analyst on mid-range computers, AS/400. I have been living here in Canada for the last 12 years now and I am a Canadian citizen as well.

I'm from 83rd GDP, Munir squadron, from March 1983 to December 1984. After Sargodha, I reported to the Academy and graduated in July 1988. After FCU I was posted to No 16 squadron where I stayed till 1993. I was picked up for FIS and served half of my tenure in PFT and remaining one in FIS. After finishing my Risalpur stay I was posted to 22 OCU. As soon as I graduated, I was earmarked for deputation to UAE. I came to UAE in August 1997 and am working here till date, hoping to return to PAF in July 2001. I'm basically a bookworm, read a lot of books and developed love for computers here in UAE. I did my MCSE and CCNA here, which shows my deep interest in computers.

I am Shanawar Hashmi and I was in the 26th CAE / 81st GD(P) course at Sargodha. I was in Younas Squadron. After F.Sc. I went to Government College Lahore to do a B.Sc. in double Maths and Physics. In 1987, I went to the University College London, University of London to do a B.Sc. Honours in Computer Science. Since then, I have worked in software development in Pakistani, Saudi and Canadian companies. I am married with two kids and currently residing in Mississauga near Toronto, Canada.

I am Jawad Haider Sumra from G-26 (Iqbal house). Did my F.Sc. from PAF College Sargodha. Then went to C.A.E. Korangi Kreek, Karachi. Left PAF from there and came back to my hometown, i.e., Bahawalpur. Did masters in English literature and joined an American multinational pharmaceutical company as "sales promotion officer". Later on I started my own business as pharmaceuticals distributor in Bahawalpur. Now I am one of the top distributors in my town. Moreover, I also run an Internet cafe in my town. My name is Sami Burney. I was in the PAF Sargodha from October 1983 to April 1985 in Alam Squadron where I had the greatest time of my life. In 1988, I joined Pakistan's most respected and largest circulation newspaper Dawn as cricket correspondent. Almost 13 years later, I am the chief cricket correspondent. However, my pen name is Samiul Hasan.

Looking back at my PAF days, I dearly miss my great friends -- Flt Lt Fawad Anwar, Flt Lt Saqib Khan (both Munirians) and Commander Ahmad Shahriyar -- who are now not with us. Fawad suffered a fatal crash in Peshawar on A-5 while Saqib crashed near Sukkur when his A-5 aircraft was hit by a bird. Shahriyar, my closest friend from Safi Squadron, died in 2000 when his survillience Navy aircraft crashed in Arabian Sea with 17 onboard.

May their souls rest in peace.

While I am delighted to see the website, I strongly feel that there should be a window dedicated to those of our dear friends, who were once part of our lives but are no longer with us.

I joined PAF College in March 1985 with G-32. I was in Younis house. Subsequently, I left PAF College to study for the accountancy exams in UK. Currently, I am in USA, pursuing an MBA program at the University of Pennsylvania. Before that, I was in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, working as a management consultant with Ernst & Young, an accounting firm.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the PAF College and maintain close links with my friends from those days, many of whom are in the Air Force.

I am M Nadeem Shafi Khan from 32nd CAE course. I stayed at PAF College Sargodha during Mar 85 - Dec 86. Writing about College makes me sad the same way as I was on the last day of my stay at College as a cadet. I always try and had visited PAF college whenever I got a chance to do so. I always cherish the memories of my stay at PAF College. I miss the lush green playground fields, the awesome Cadet’s Mess and its activities, the places in the city to visit, my Allaudin Squadron and the adjoining Yankee Stadium. I remember all the college parades that I commanded there. The college color in Football that I received reminds me of our victory against Pak Navy in the Inter - Service Football Competition in which I scored 2 goals out of three.

I am Commander Sajid Ali Khan Tareen Pak Navy, joined PAF college Sargodha in 1985 as 32nd CAE cadet but later on converted arm in the third term. Presently serving Pakistan Navy in the rank of Commander.

Memories of the two years at PAF College Sargodha will forever be golden to me. I was in the 87th CAE course and lived the first year in Younis and the second in Munir. After finishing F.Sc. at Sargodha, I failed to pass the entrance exam to Risalpur. This led me to the US. I completed my undergrad in Marketing from Southwest State University, in Minnesota and an MBA from UNC-Charlotte. I've been working for a small communications consulting company in Charlotte, NC as a marketing director for the last two years and have strong entrepreneurial goals. The character and traits that were built in Sargodah have led me to many successes and Inshallah many more will be coming.

The class, the grace and the quality of this institution's education truly have no parallels in my mind. The friends that were made have been lifelong, the education was life changing and the experiences have forever molded the outlook on what it takes to succeed. My name is Khalid Iqbal Jawaid and am from the 37th CAE Entry. Completed F.Sc. in Sargodha; however, failed the entrance exam to PAF Academy. Joined the Army and passed out with 85th PMA Long course with the President's Medal. I was posted to an Artillery unit of choice but resigned the Army in 1994. Now, I am a CCIE and work for Cisco Systems in Belgium in the networking industry.

i joined PAF college Sargodha as a Flt. Cdt. in 89th GD(P). I was in Allauddin Sqn and my Pak number was 868925. I still remember each and every tough day spent as a junior most and every great day spent as a final termer at the college .I after passing out from PAF college went to Risalpur and graduated from there in Admin Branch as I could not make a flyer due to airsickness. I have served at different Bases like Sargodha, Chaklala, Peshawar, Badaber, Kohat. I am presently commanding a Provost and Security unit at Samungli Quetta.

I have two kids named as Hamza and Maarij. Hamza a boy aged 9yrs and Maarij a girl aged 6 years. I am enjoying my life as a satisfied man and miss pAF college daily (no exaggeration) and wish to be a cadet again as a final termer.
